The September Issue

I'll admit it: I thought The Devil Wears Prada was trés mediocre. Don't hate me or take away my fashion lovers card. Yes, Anne Hathaway's outfits were envy inspiring, but had it not been for the astonishing performance of Meryl Strep's thinly veiled portrayal of Vogue's Anna Wintour, I would have cozied up in my theater chair and taken a devilish little nap.

After seeing this movie, I began to love me some Anna Wintour. I'm intrigued by this woman who supposedly banned Rachel Zoe from the Met Ball and demanded that Oprah lose weight before she graces the pages of Vogue. All that to say, I am WAY more excited about the documentary The September Issue than I was about The Devil Wears Prada. I think this is a case where facts are way more interesting than their fictional counterparts. It's all the Anna, none of the cheesy romance... 'though I wouldn't mind an Adrian Grenier cameo, if you know what I'm saying.
