Anna Sui for Target

I'm excited. Sorta.

This September 13th through October 17th, select Target stores will carry Anna Sui's Designer Collection Collaboration. They're marketing the looks as being inspired by the characters of Gossip Girl.
Have you ever watched that show? I did once because a dear, trusted friend suggested that I should because of the fashion. Yes, the fashion was remarkable (especially Blair), but teen sex on t.v.? Awkward! I had to turn it off, 'cause I was feeling like a perv!

Nonetheless, a couple days back I got a gander at the entire Anna Sui/ Gossip Girl lookbook, and I gotta admit-- it's amazing. Maybe even more amazing than the show. But here's the quandary: why are they marketing these clothes as Gossip Girl inspired looks, when they are clearly a throw-back to Anna Sui's past collections?
I, for one, as a woman in her late twenties, would be much more likely to buy something marketed as "Anna Sui Past Collection Selections" instead of "Anna Sui Gossip Girl Fashions". Am I right or am I right?

Aw, who am I kidding? You know I'm going to break the bank the morning of September 13th, trying to snag the entire collection. Specifically, that blue dress is MINE. I don't care if I have to push a couple of high schoolers outta my way. Awkward!
