Street Style: All Austin All Handmade Bash

I freaking love this town. There's always so much to do and so many interesting people to meet. Last night was the All Austin All Handmade Bash at The Beauty Bar, and my mission was accomplished. After a week of just missing the swag bags at the fashion week events, I finally scored one! My favorite part? Inside was something I had recently swooned over online: the crane shaped, gold embroidery scissors from Sublime Stitching!Just so you know, there were innumerable fashionable people there. This is no lie: there wasn't anyone there at all who was uncute! Since there was so much to do, I snapped a couple photos in line before the party got started:

These ladies were in line in front of me:

Emily & Carmen

name: Emily (left)
occupation: student
dress: American Apparel
bag: World Market
sandals: Nomi
ceramic bird earrings: gifted

name: Carmen (right)
occupation: student
dress: Old Navy ("On sale now!")
bag: Old Navy (2002-ish)
sandals: Clark
vintage inspired enamel earrings: gifted

This spunky bird was in line behind me:

Giselle

name: Giselle
occupation: owner of The Good Shoppe (vintage paper goods) and Forward Collective.
dress: Cream Vintage
bag: thrifted
feather earrings: Buffalo Exchange

When I got inside, I immediately tried a strawberry cake sample from Blue Note Bakery, grabbed a bottle of Sweet Leaf Tea, and headed to The WonderCraft crafting area. (I made a cowl scarf, which I'll photo later today). It started to rain, and the outside crowd poured into the inside, making a nice, moist crowd of crafty fashionistas. My group decided to come back to my place to play Wii, so we said our good-byes and left... ellusive swag bags in hand!

On the way out, I was able to meet Candace from Electric Promotions, the Super Girl behind the entire shebang:

Candace
Isn't that a lovely color on her? The dress was bought at a boutique in San Antionio.

Thanks, Candace for throwing such a freaking sweet party!

Indiana Adams
I like my sugar with coffee and cream. I'm Indiana. I used to live in Austin. I live elsewhere now.
