World, meet Oliver.
I was supposed to go thrifting yesterday, but I got distracted by my messy closet. I started cleaning and re-organzing, and by the time I knew it, it was time for dinner.
While cleaning out the closet, I pulled this dress and jacket out of my "to sell to Buffalo Exchange pile":
date: 5 November 2009
occasion: thrifting!
dress: American Apparel
jacket: Built by Wendy (literally)
belt: Savers
socks: Target
boots: Style Station
bracelet: Fashionique
bag: LV
The dress was going to be given to a new home because I realized at the beginning of August that this dress is insanely short! However, it's a nice neutral, basic piece, and I'm going to try it again with dark tights in the fall.
The jacket, like these jeans, was personally made by Wendy Mullin as a prototype for her Built by Wendy Simplicity patterns. It has a funky shape, so I don't wear it very often, but because it was such a unique and special gift, I'm having a hard time letting it go.
Do you know what else I will never let go? My new tiger bracelet! After falling head over heels for the zebra bracelet my friend Abby got me for my birthday, I had to go back to Fashionique to see what else they had. While there, I spied this little guy in the case and had to have him:
I've named him Oliver, after Olivet where I first went to college and was a cheerleader for the ONU Tigers. Aw, nostalgia! I still have fond memories of that place even though I'm a Bible college drop-out! By the way, I ended up selling $166 worth of stuff to Buffalo Exchange, and I opted to take the $83 store credit. Now that's something to cheer about!
