It's National Donut Day!

I spent part of my morning here, mesmerized by this:

[music clip: Sweet Lady by What Made Milwaukee Famous]

Krispy Kreme gave away one free donut of any kind (no purchase necessary!) to anyone who said "Happy National Donut Day!". I chose a maple glaze, and it was delicious!

I then drove down the street to the competition where they were having a little a lot of trouble keeping up with the demands of free donut day.

The manager's Random Caps make me giggle a little.
I had a strawberry glazed donut and was required to purchase a drink (decaf iced mocha, please!). Sadly, the Dunkin' Donuts donut was icky, and all that morning sugar made my tummy turn. Perhaps you saw my tweet:

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it to Ladies who Lunch, but I just had to! Sydney was bringing my dream shoes! Oh, and let me reassure you: they are everything I hoped they would be!

Welcome home, lovers!
I have a class with my church tonight, and I've been meaning to wear this amazing Dashiki that I purchased from Blue Velvet a while back. Paired with my maternity shorts, I am super duper comfortable!

I'm not trying to brag, but these shoes are friggin' awesome!

date: 4 June 2010
occasion: National Donut Day and Austin City Life partners class
shoes: Cynthia Vincent for Target
shorts: Liz Lange Maternity
Dashiki: vintage find- Blue Velvet
necklace: gift from Amanda Dudley

Happy Friday, everyone! Midnight is a few hours away, so I highly recommend you buzz by Krispy Kreme to get your free donut. As for Dunkin' Donuts. Meh. Pass! I wish I would have!
