Recap: Treasure City Thrift Recycled Fashion Show
I have said it on here before, but I will say it again: I love living in Austin! You could even say that I adore it (Ha! See what I did there?). Everyone here is really friendly, and on Saturday I met so many nice people including Jennifer from TapeBombs and some sweet women who let me take their street style photos. This city always has so many fun, affordable events, and the people that live here are incredibly talented, creative, artistic, and eclectic. Nothing illustrates this more than Saturday's Treasure City Thrift Recycled Fashion Show.
This was not your typical fashion show; the clothes were all made from recycled materials or pieces found at Treasure City. I had an excellent spot at the end of the runway, so I toggled back and forth between snapping photos and grabbing video footage.
This model was gorgeous! I hope she walks in Austin Fashion Week!
I believe that's an anne*marie handbag! The shoulder piece of the dress is an upcycled necktie. Genius!
By far, my favorite photograph of the entire night! I have no clue how the models walked in these enormous papier-mache heads!
That is a half globe purse. Love!
This Grecian/ drapey top was lovely.
Look! It's Diya and she's wearing her hair down!
This was a show stopper for sure! That gown! That hat! Swoon city!

The runway show was a full hour of fantastic fun. There were more than 25 designers, most of whom showed three to five looks. I wish I could have gotten photos and videos of everything!
A huge thanks to Michael Litt for inviting me out and for putting on such a fun event.
Keep on keepin' Austin weird and wonderful!
