Canon ball!

HOLY COW. I did it. I did it! I bought my new camera, so hopefully I'll be able to improve the quality of my style photos and video blogs here on Adored Austin. I am giddy with excitement! After looking at the entire internet and seeking out the help of my photog friends Eric Doggett and William Meyer, here's the gear I ended up getting:

Except for the time I bought my car, I have never in my life dropped so much cash on one shopping endeavor, ever. Yowzers! I really feel like I surfed the entire world wide web making sure that I was getting the best deal on everything. If you're like me and do that, too, I recommend installing the Invisible Hand plug-in on your browser. It lets you know if it finds cheaper prices elsewhere, and it saved me a bunch of money.

By the way, I ended up going with the Canon Rebel T2i instead of the Nikon D5000 that I blogged about because it shoots full HD (instead of standard). I found an incredible deal on it, and after watching some test footage, I could not be swayed back to the Nikon.

And believe it or not, I still want to spend a pretty penny on a camera bag and strap. I discovered Kelly Moore camera bags today after a long day on Google. They are breathtaking!

I am fairy certain that by the end of the night, I'll be ordering the fuchsia Posey bag. Even the inside is cute!

Y'all know that I am usually a very thrifty shopper who spends very conservatively, but like my pricey diaper bag, I figure that I'm going to be using this all the time for years to come, so I may as well get something that I love and something that will last. I really like how this doesn't at all look like a camera bag, and I feel like if my personality could be expressed as a bag, this would be it! All it needs is some kind of animal jewelry stuck to it. Maybe for Christmas I'll ask for a seahorse brooch for my bag.

Photo people, check out Kelly Moore bags when you get the chance. Get ready to swoon!
