At least this hat is adorable.

I can't figure it out. I read a lot of style blogs. Maybe millions, I don't know. And I can't figure out how it's January and I keep seeing photos of girls in short skirts and bare legs! It's one thing to don a short dress and add a pair of tights. That is normal. It's another to eschew pants and tights and knee socks and tall boots all together to go for naked stems in the dead of winter. I need someone to tell me the secret to how this can be done!

I hate dressing for fall and winter. I think everyone else disagrees because supposedly the layering is so much more fun in the colder months. Me? I really just prefer the ease of a sundress and sandals. I am mentally stunted when it comes to dressing for cold weather. I almost didn't post today's outfit because it just wasn't quite the look I was going for. Oh, well. You win some, you lose some:

One of my 11 goals for 2011 is to amp up my style. I now realize that this should include brushing my hair. Ha! I got off to a poor start this year with this slightly frumpy ensemble, but I'll improve, I promise! Today I'm going to clean out my closet, and I'm doing a Buffalo Exchange trip tomorrow and a Savers trip on Wednesday. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from my fellow bloggers (so much more inspiring than fashion magazines!), but don't expect me to go with nude legs until the temps get above 60º again, okay?
