Much loved

Final update: Jimi is too far gone for the back surgery to be a success. He will be let go at 3:30 this afternoon in the comfort of our home and in our arms.

Before he goes, we will drive him around our beloved city to relive some old memories and make a stepping stone imprinted with his paws. We will make sure to snap a photo of him and Jude together in the Texas sunshine. Right before he passes, we will wrap him in his favorite towel and let him enjoy a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. He will be buried in his favorite spot in our backyard with his towel, his tennis ball, and a scoop of peanut butter. He was much loved, and we are thankful for and floored at the outpouring of love you all have shown us in this extremely hard time.
